Notes: Located at South Las Vegas Boulevard in the Vegas Point Plaza (the former outlet minimall), Sifu Sean Meyer has brought Ip Style Wing Chun to Las Vegas. He studied Wing Chun under Master Heimberger since 1992, has traveled to Hong Kong to train with his Si Gung, Grandmaster Ip Ching, and taken up studies in acupuncture in Gwong Jo China. He has specifically trained as a security specialist and has worked throughout the Western United States as a Security Specialist and Body Guard. Sifu Meyer was born in Provo, Utah and spent the majority of his life in and around Yuciapa, California, nestled in the foothills surrounding San Bernardino. His childhood was spent riding horses and motorcycles. Sean is an accomplished juggler and street performer, working with his favorite mediums of knives and fire. Part of his high school years were spent attending a military prep school located in Carlsbad, California. Some of Sean's hobbies include falconry, currently holding a General Level License and is working toward his Masters Level License. An avid outdoorsman and mountaineer, Sean enjoys ice climbing and has personally instructed over three hundred people in the mechanics and applications of rappelling. He still enjoys riding his CR500R across the desert floor. Sean started his martial arts training at the age of 11 in Kung Fu San Soo, from there he explored other arts such as Shobiashi Shorin Ryu, Boxing, Jiu Jitsu, and finally finding what he was looking for in Wing Chun Kung Fu, under the direction of Master Ron Heimberger. He has been with the Council full time since 1993.

Notes: My Wing Chun Gung Fu training comes from 3 Great Jones St., NYC, from an early Yipman disciple and colleague of the late Bruce Lee; his name is Sifu Duncan Leung. I and other first-generation students such as Joseph Musse, Raul Zapata, Willie Arroyo, Joe and Gary Young, Joe Pelikan and Jerry Gardner, who are my elder gung fu brothers, trained with the help and guidance of Sifu Duncan Leung and his assistant instructor Alan Lee (Lee Chi Kong), also a Yipman student. Today most of the first-generation students teach very privately in NYC, only to select students.
