The first of three books, representing the sum knowledge of Grandmaster Moy Yat beginning with his first Ving Tsun training in 1957. The first tape was completed in 1986 after Moy Yat had accumulated 33 years of experience in Ving Tsun Kung Fu. The last, "What is a Sifu?", was completed in 1994. In all, there are 30 tapes transcribed into three books. The tapes themselves represent over 50 hours of in-depth videotape instruction and cover the entire Ving Tsun system. Each tape represents a formal seminar given by Moy Yat to Ving Tsun students. As such, each tape involved many hours of preparation to ensure the right material was covered at the right moment in time as Moy Yat's family grew in size and experience. The book project itself spans two years of transcription and rewrite work. It is the most comprehensive compilation of Ving Tsun knowledge available in print anywhere. History, philosophy, methods, principles, techniques, and attributes are all covered. Book One consists of 160 pages of knowledge contained in 77 pictures and 51,000 words. The first book alone went through 114 major revisions utilizing over 100 hours of computer editing time. The second book is in final editing and has had already over 100 revisions. It exceedes over 52,000 words of knowledge and contains numerous pictures as well. The final book is nearing completion. It will be equally as rich as the first two. Together, they represent the combined efforts of three generations of Ving Tsun practioners. Chapters:Book One
