Notes: Sifu John Agar started his training in Wing Chun Kuen in January of 1975, under Master Alan Lamb who was the first westerner to gain Master status in Wing Chun in Hong Kong. Sifu John Agar has taught classes in Wing Chun at the Birtley Community Centre for the last thirteen years on Monday & Wednesday evenings from 7-9:00 P.M. His students were all gold medal winners in the Wing Chun events at a Chinese martial arts international competition held by Sifu Peter Yeung in 1997. Sifu Agar has classes for beginners twice yearly (January and again in late June).
